What are everyone's plans for Imbolc this year?
Due to a couple of unexpected life changes around here, I hadn't thought about this holiday until a couple days ago. So much for following one of my 2010 goals of being more in tune with my spirituality. It's never too late to get ready though, so I'm considering all my options and thinking that I need to make an extra stop at the grocery store to pick up the ingredients for the cheese that I make every year for this Sabbat.

do tell about the cheese you make!!!
I'm ready for this weekends ritual... but may have to move mine indoors instead... not such a biggie.. my kids just love my open fire ritual nights though...... especially my middle son.
My son is looking forward to this weekend as well... he is 13 now.. and I finally gave him permission to sit in on my rituals if he wanted to. Last year I let them join me at Samhain I typically did my own thing previously.. but I have invited my son to join me.
My hubby doesn't want the kids to join me he thinks they need to follow the Christian path... (Don't blame him.. it's a Southern Baptist thing..lol... love my big ole Alabama Redneck hubby..hehehehe)
At any rate.. we kinda made a deal. That when they became teens.. they could join me in my rituals if they wanted... or they didn't have to.. their choice... they still can choose to go to Christian church if they wanted as well.
only thing I wish I had available is fresh lavender buds... sigh... I miss Spring and Summer.... I have some dried ones.. but my lemon lavender muffins just wont be the same for Imbolc...LOL
May make banana nut ones instead... its what I have on hand... and the winter storm is coming... it doesn't look pleasant either.. its to hit tonight... and this weekend... so being outside may not be what I had planned.... but oh well!
Happy Imbolc to everyone If I am not back on till after the weekend!

I wasn't actually planning on doing much for Imbolc, except maybe begging a friend to let me keep some goat cheese in their fridge since I havn't got one. (i could also probbly try to make an ice box, to keep the cheese in my room)
PF (Pagan Fellowship) has a meeting on the 3rd, so we're going to do candle blessings and talk about the meaning of the holiday for everyone (since I don't think any of us are on the same kind of path)

I can't believe I nearly forgot it was this weekend! Where on earth did January go? I will be having a mass house clear out, sweeping out the old and welcoming in the new. I think I'll try a rebirth bath too. When the moon begins to rise I'll light my lovely candles and sow some of my seed packets. Break bread and be merry. Woohoo spring is awakening xx

Blessed Imbolc and a Happy Lughnasadh everyone!
Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning, so it looks like we're in for another six weeks of winter. Oh goodie, I was hoping for more snow.
