Those are gorgeous!
Although this isn't a picture of my garden, it's what I get to look at every morning when I walk to work. It's the Boise River on a morning after a snow, when the sun was peaking down at us from above.

We've been reading and hearing about the snow storm - while sweltering in the tropical heat of New Zealand's summer... For us, Ice is in either the freezer or our drinks... lol
My Garden has turned into sheer abundance - fresh veg ready to come out of our ears - looking forward to a bumper tomato crop, and have all my jars ready for tomato sauce, chutneys, relishes and other assorted goodies - even found a tomato wine recipe!!

You'll have to share some of those tomato recipes with us. I'm hope-hope-hoping that we'll actually grow some this year, and once we do, I'll need to jar the rest when the fall comes. I love tomatoes, but would rather not buy the canned crap if I don't have to.

I saw an interesting idea the other day - it was a hanging basket with a tomato plant in it - except the tomato plant was upside down, and growing from a small hole in the base of the planter - there were TONS of tomatoes on it (well what do you expect in an advertisement) but the idea is interesting in itself.
I may have to try that next year with saved seeds - this year my plants are triffods - standing almost 6 feet tall now!!!
I've heard about your snowstorm - we've had pictures on the news about it - is it really as bad as they say??

we tried one of those things last year, our tomato plant didn't like hanging upside down, so it grew upright anyway, (curved itself back upright) didn't produce very many or very large fruit, and when it got too heavy to keep growing upright its trunk snapped as gravity tried to pull it downward. We might try it again, because we still have the planter, but we were pretty disappointed. Our tomatoes planted normally on the ground did much better.

It seemed a bit gimicky really... Oh well - back to the triffods....
I grew all my toms out of saved seeds - all heirloom of course - so I'm expecting a bumper crop
Love, Light and Blessings
